We have been asked by the secretary of Sheffield Piscatorial Angling Club to point out that we do not have any fishing rights on the pond at the rear of the Gate at Tansley near the scrap yard. Their bailiff has found people fishing on this pond with our yearbooks and are saying that we now have this pond. We would like to point out that we do NOT have the fishing rights on this pond and anyone caught fishing there do without their yearbook will be asked to leave.

Anyone wishing to do some work at the waters please contact Asa Cooper or Rick Cantrill to see what is planed before carrying out any work. Several people have asked about parking at Cawdor ,this parking is for Permit holders only ,these are anglers who struggle to carry their tackle , blue badge holders etc anyone found parking without a permit will be asked to move their vehicles.

Work is almost complete at the ponds at Cawdor, this has involved the lowering of water levels at the ponds to allow new pathways to be constructed between and alongside the ponds. All the pegs have had improvements made, including four pegs for wheelchair anglers with stops.Pipes have been laid between the two ponds to allow the control of levels and work on the outlet to allow the raising and lowering of the levels. The areas surrounding the pegs are being soiled and seeded and anglers are asked to keep off these areas and use the platforms and pathways when fishing . The lanes and pathways are also going to be improved so hopefully this year members will benefit from the work on the surroundings of the ponds .
Members are reminded that Cawdor ponds are closed for fishing during March
